Class Descriptions


All classes and workshops that we offer are open to students of every level and age. Our goal is to create a supportive and welcoming community for anyone who wants to join us, and offer inspiring classes in which we can all grow and realize our limitless potential.

All classes practiced in the Solar Room are heated, so be prepared to sweat! You'll love it! Drink plenty of water before class and avoid eating between 1 to 2 hours before your practice.

All Classes practiced in the Lunar Room are ambient temperature (NOT HOT).

We also offer private lessons.


Solar Room (HOT) Class Descriptions

Power Vinyasa Yoga

This flowing class emphasizes the link between breath and movement. Each class will be unique and offer options for learning arm balances and inversions. These classes are dynamic and inspiring; come and amaze yourself!

*60-minute, and 90-minute classes offered. Often practiced with music.

Hot Yoga

This class will lead you through 26 isometric postures strategically sequenced to safely and effectively open your whole body. This challenging class is great for opening tight bodies, practicing alignment, healing and preventing injuries. Every class is silent and taught the same way. Learn more about Hot Yoga.

*60-minute 90-minute classes offered.

Hot Yoga Flow

The union of a flowing Vinyasa class and a slow deep Hot class! This class is great for those students who love the familiarity of Hot Yoga postures, but are ready to open their bodies further. While the sequencing is consistent, the postures vary each class and different areas are focused on to increase openness and new body awareness.

*60-minute and 90-minute classes offered. Often practiced with music.

Hip Openers

*You must take the preceding class to warm up for Hip Openers!

This 30-minute add-on class will take you deep into one of the tightest spots of the body: your hips! A few selected postures will be taught and held 1-5 minutes to allow for deep releasing. Each class will focus on a specific rotation of the hips, so that over time you can open in all directions a let go of that old stress!


Lunar Room (NOT HOT) Class Descriptions

Flow / Hot Yoga Basics

A slower paced class in an unheated room for those who are just beginning to explore yoga or practitioners who want to spend time focusing on alignment and gaining a deeper understanding of yoga postures. Experienced students will see familiar postures in new ways to help take their practices to new levels.

Flow

Develop strength and flexibility with core yoga postures designed to work every system in your body. This class will move you in a steady pace combining isometric postures held to build endurance with flowing movements to get your blood flowing. Great for beginners and advanced yoga practitioners.

Vinyasa Basics

Learn the foundations of a flowing Vinyasa practice. Special emphasis on the Sun Salutations and other foundational postures will increase the student's body awareness posture alignment, and give freedom to the overall practice.

Vinyasa

An invigorating and evolving class that will expand your knowledge of yoga postures and how your body moves. This all-levels class moves with the breath in a structured and logical way to deepen your practice physically and spiritually.

Restorative (Gentle) Yoga

A lovely gentle yoga stretch, including massage techniques. This class does modified standing postures and floor postures with the support of blocks, blankets and bolsters. Come experience the joy of letting your body go deep into postures with total support and relaxation.

Tight Guys (and Gals) Stretch

This class is specifically designed for guys (and gals) who are tight and need a slow, gentle stretch. Come find out that yoga really is for everyone!

Prenatal Yoga

This 8 week series of classes will help to strengthen and stretch your muscles and bond you with your baby. Prenatal yoga also teaches you how to relax and keep a positive outlook while clearing the mind of all other stresses. During this 60-minute class, we explore meditation and relaxation techniques, postures that not only tone, but also open and empower you for your journey through labor, delivery, and into motherhood.

Beginners Yoga

For students who would like to start their practice with a solid foundation and with other beginners, there are many options, including: Tight Guys (and Gals) Stretch, Hot/Flow Basics, Vinyasa Basics and Private Lessons.

Singing Bowls Meditation

Experience the power of vibration tuned to your energy chakras as you sit quietly and relax. Kelly MacInnis joins us for an hour of quiet meditation on Wednesday evenings (cost $5).

Come try our Sunday afternoon Singing Bowls Yoga Class and Saturday afternoon Prenatal Medition with the Singing Bowls.

Kids’ Yoga

Every Sunday: Kid's Yoga Fun! Ages 5-10 years. Introduce your children early to yoga in a playful atmosphere that will get them moving and breathing while having fun!
Cost: $9 drop-in or $75 for a 10-class package

Private Lessons

Private lessons are available for students of all levels and abilities. This is an amazing way to receive direct answers and feedback for your individual needs, whether you are just starting out or have an established practice. You will be amazed at how quickly you can work through blockages in your body and your overall practice in this one-on-one environment.

1-5 people per session. $75/60 min. or $115/90 min. Call Solar Yoga to set up a time with a teacher.
